Need some inspiration? I have plenty of date ideas of my own, including:

• Roaming the aisles of a bookstore together before stopping at a cafe. A cute and easygoing way to connect and get to know each other.

• An Asian neo-noir Studio Ghibli jazz night and cocktails in NYC

• Bowling night (I might need the bumpers up!), featuring bar fare and an arcade duel. Let’s see who wins the most tickets. Win or lose, I’ll still give you the best prize afterwards.

• An evening of spirits (both the spooky kind and the ones that come in a glass) in Philadelphia as we Oo and Ah over a Japanese folklore-inspired magic show.

• Shopping for new Lego sets to build together and new games for me to kick your butt at

• Speaking of game night - let’s sit shoulder to shoulder playing video games together or face-to-face duking it out with card and board games (I love everything from Uno to Magic the Gathering!)

• Dinner before a movie screening with a live symphony orchestra (Star Wars or Lord of the Rings maybe? Or…)

• The legendary and official symphonic concert experience Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY, followed by fulfilling fantasies of our own

• Ziplining through the trees and breathing in the fresh air and soaking up the sun. You’ll feel alive and invigorated both during and after.

• Hitting the slopes to snowboard (or, take my ski virginity), with a pit stop at a mountainside eatery before cuddling and letting ourselves heat back up.
